The verso is decorated with what appears to be a hand-incised letter ‘L’. There are three metal keys on five available hooks inside, with embossed the words ‘Corbin’, ‘Security’, and ‘American Motors (AM) Corp’. Sides are decoratively sewn together with a leather strip. Size: (closed) L 3 1/2” x W 2” History of Object: A leather key holder, belonging to a Clinton family member, of an African-American family that came to Alameda shortly after emancipation, and came to own homes and run a Drayage and Storage Business.
