History of Object: Receipt for payment (fine) of State & County taxes, 1855-1856. Dated Jan. 2, 1855. For property situated at the northwest corner of Encinal Avenue & High Street. The owner, Bernard Lambert was the father of Mrs. Geo. Manley whose husband eventually built the present structure, 1301-05 High Street, in 1891.
The Lambert family originally lived on the site in a structure that predated the present building.
