Title on front impressed with gold type (all capital letters): New / Historical / Atlas / of / Alameda Co. / California / Illustrated / Thompson & West / 1878. Inside cover has written in blue ink: ‘Doctor F.W. Vowinckel / 325 Pacific Avenue’, and an old Historical Society label with typed information of the donor. On front, on bottom left a sticker (half coming off) with information about Alameda City-related pages: at top right: in gold or tan marker or ink, and in blue marker on a small sticker: 6.52X. Size: 15 1/4” x 18” History of Object: Atlas which belonged to Dr. Vowinckel, who lived by himself in a mansion on the West End, and left it to the donor. The estate became Woodstock Park.
