History:
Specification for the construction of a one-story and basement cottage located at 1290 Weber Street, erected in 1893. The home was constructed for William F. Chipman, insurance agent, San Francisco, and the son of W.W. Chipman, co-founder of the City of Alameda. Document given to the Historical Society by Constance Olson in 1972 in memory of her father, Jenius Johnstad, who occupied 1290 Weber Street from 19201972.
