Description: Wooden exploding fort and original box. The fort is composed of wood, with grey and blue painted stones, a red circle, a green base, and two canons. Included are two flags, and a larger canon, which can fire off a stick and when it hits the red circle, the fort will fall apart. The box is made of tan cardboard with navy blue image stating 'Exploding Fort with shooting .....tank'.
Size: 14" wide; cannon: 7.5" long; box: (approx.) L 7" x W 27" x H 5".
History of Objects: Exploding fort of the Martin family of 1419 Mound Street. The fort was made by the Keystone Manufacturing Company, Boston, Massachusetts. The company had replaced the tank of an earlier version with a canon, but kept using the same box.
