Description: Long handled coal shovel made of iron (one sheet with no seams). Slightly scalloped edge near handle. Handle pierced for hanging.
Size: 23 inches in length, 5 inches across turned up shovel blade.
History of Object: Found while clearing out the estate of Mrs. Ella King, 2153 San Jose Avenue, Alameda. The King family had occupied the home as early as 1920.
