Description: Brown leather wallet, with four inside compartments, and incised on one side, monogram ‘BLC’ in art-deco design, and on the other side, masonic symbols. Sides are decoratively sewn together with a leather strip.

History of Object: A leather wallet which belonged to Robert (Bobby) Lee Clinton, member of an African-American family who settled in Alameda shortly after emancipation, and came to own homes and run a Drayage and Storage Business.
