History of Object: Sponge advertising the South Shore branch office in the South Shore shopping center, c. 1980s. Alameda First National Bank was established in 1964, headquartered at 2424 Santa Clara Ave., and merged with U.S. Bank of California in 1997. The South Shore branch office closed after the merger and was demolished; the address now (2024) applies to a Gas Station, operated by Safeway.
