History of Object: Correspondence with the Board of Trustees, found in the attic of City Hall in the 1990s, and refoldered in 2012. The original folder was marked '601-650' on the folder tab. Documents in this folder include or pertain to: efforts by the Alameda Advancement Association resulting in opening of Caroline Street, a new Bay Street Station built by Remmel, and planting of trees; Electric Light Plant correspondence and financial reports for 1905 including resignation of chief engineer Messer; plans for a franchise for Central Pacific Railroad right of way to the Fruitvale Bridge; protests to a freight railroad over Clement Ave.; resignation from the Board of Health by Dr. Brooke and appointment of Dr. Maurice Brown (on a partial voting ballot); letter from Chief Conrad regarding reports by Japanese community representative Mr. Tasaki about gambling of Japanese in 'Chinatown'; and petition to rename Railroad Avenue.
