History of Object:
A Deed for Abandonment of Homestead on the property on Lincoln Avenue between Fifth and Sixth Streets, presently identified as 545 Lincoln Avenue, Alameda, signed by Louise Weichart, nee Hecker, and Henry A. Weichart, her husband. According to the document, the Declaration of Homestead on this property was submitted by Louise on March 14, 1898. A Declaration of Homestead could only be filed on the property in use as the main residence.
This deed was found among other deeds of this accession, but apparently had escaped notice at the time.
