Wooden stays (natural finish) on top of curved lid. Opening & corner joints (exterior) in flashed (black paint). Pair of cast iron catches with brass tongue lock. Original interior paper. Missing tray.
Size: H-22 x D-20 X W-31 inches.
History of Object: Traveling & storage trunk of the Samuel M. Haslett family, 1605 Clinton Avenue. It has been housed in their attic since 1891.
