Size: L 14 1/2 x 9" History of Object: Folder with documents, found in the attic of City Hall in the 1990s, refoldered in 2012. Documents in this folder were originally found in a folder (discarded in 2012) marked 2701-2750 on the tab. The documents are ordered more or less chronologically, and pertain to: opening up of Lincoln from 8th street; appointment of Greene Majors to the council and resignation as mayor two years later; documents relating to garbage collection, such as establishment of a sorting facility on Bay Farm Island, bids to establish or use hogs to feed on food refuse, and rate increase for pick up by the Scavenger Co.; E.M. Shaw establishing a lumber yard corner Webster and Eagle; papers related to election and acceptance of 1917 charter; papers related to 1916-1917 controversy between Superintendent of Streets V.M.
