This is the ledger of J. A. Collins known to have been an active carpenter from mid 1880's to 1913, in the City of Alameda. It is a journal of a carpenter's work from 1891-1903, listing amount of materials used and labor required on specific building projects. It also lists the names of clients, some early pioneer residents of the community.
