The family lived at 1713 Sherman St., and young Harrison attended local schools. In 1891 the family moved to 5 Mastick Court. In later years Harrison Fisher, under the auspices of Wm. Randolph Hearst, was sent to New York as a newspaper illustrator, and this event launched his career as a nationally known magazine cover artist and the subsequent creator of the "Harrison Fisher girl". He died in New York City in 1934, and is buried at Oakland's Mountain View Cemetery.
