Description: Circular shaped, semi-porcelain plate with transfer design depicting a single rose and border containing calendar of January through December of 1909. Signed on reverse of plate Homer Laughlan (An American Pottery Worker).

History of Object:
Calendar plate possibly given as a premium by A. Kist Furniture and Carpets Alameda, CA. The plate was originally owned by Amelia, wife of Louis Guddal. They came to Alameda around 1900 to 1903. Their son Frank W., born January 25, 1908, was the late husband of the donor.
Louis Guddal came from Norway. The Guddal family lived at 1056 Central Avenue (c. 1928).
