Documents include suggestions to get street lighting by G.E., extracts from the charter; reflections on labor unrest in 1919, discussions about non-union membership allowed for Fire (and Police) Department employees; requests for assistance in finding jobs; notifications about assignments within the departments, (including John Lane, Ben Jost); street paving and sewer work; opening hours for bridges (affecting Bethlehem Steel), Invitations to meetings; a discussion about property owned by Mary Bruzzone; requests of documents from other towns, dredging and closing plans of the Estuary; illegal signs and fences, a contribution to a publication called 'the American City'; invitation to a meeting regarding automobile transportation problems across the Bay; and a heated exchange over a difference in freight (of surplus military supplies sold by the city manager on behalf of the government) quoted by the Southern Pacific Railroad, which wanted to recoup the difference after the fact.
