History of Object: Clipping about the funeral services held at Clark's funeral parlors, 2110 Santa Clara Ave, for Gilbert Rhoades, who lived at 3272 Encinal for many years. Rhoades (b. New York, c. 1836) was a veteran of the Civil War, having enlisted in Michigan and rising to the rank of sergeant. The article details the various battles Rhoades was engaged in at the time.
