History of Object: Edition of the AC Transit Times, with 1863-1963 history of the transportation in the Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District. Although purportedly about the East Bay, it is predominantly about Oakland. Page 15 shows wagons and a trolley on Park St at Santa Clara (see also 96.667.1), page 25 shows a Southern Pacific red train at the Alameda Pier. The timetable at the end mentions 1878 as the year that Southern Pacific expanded service into Alameda and Berkeley, and date the vote for forming the AC transit district at 1956.
