The bodice and shirt are lined. The buttons have been removed from the bodice. B- Shawl C- Garter History of Object: The dress was owned by Alameda resident Mrs. Henry F. Strachan, who came to Alameda in 1873 with her husband who was appointed general manager of the Borax operation.
