A-fork, silver plate with shield-like handle engraved "Bertie". Victorian design of stylized leaves (Ivy).

Size: fork- 6 inches in length, Knife-7¼ inches in length.

The silver life & fork marked "Bertie" were the first set provided to Herbert D. Clark by his parents upon his introduction to eating at the dinner table with his family, circa 1880. The Clarks were early pioneer residents of Alameda.
