3/2/2020 MvL: current label, citing this accession number, but also including 81.88.1: CABINET CONTAINING THE CONTENTS OF THE CORNER STONE, WATER WORKS BUILDING, PARK STREET. The offices and tank building of the Artesian Water Company was erected in 1880 and designed by William Patton, architect. Cost, $42,000. Demolished, July 1955, the walls of the building were five feet thick to support a tank containing 240,000 gallons of water.
