Description: Cast white metal silver plated mug (newly plated) with an unusual handle upon which is resting a kitten. The body of the mug has incised decorations consisting of a shield shaped medallion containing a bird and various flowers. The mug is unmarked, but is obviously of American manufacture and design.
Size: H-3 1/2 x C-2 3/4 inches.
History of Object: Baby mug of Gardner Cobb Goldthwaite, born Alameda May 19, 1894, son of Luther B. & Helen Louise Goldthwaite, old-time residents of Alameda.
