History of Object: An envelope addressed to James A. Ellis, M.D., at 1504 Park Street, Alameda. This envelope was created by the Alameda Chamber of Commerce and has a message on its verso extolling Alameda and its many attributes. It is postmarked "Oct. 28, 1925", at a time when Alameda referred to itself as the "Dahlia City".
