History of Object: a publication on the history of the so-called red trains of the Southern Pacific East Bay suburban train and ferry system. Chapters VI, VII, VII and XI contain details on the trains and XII on the ferries connecting to Alameda. Publication is illustrated with reproductions of historical photographs, many of which were provided by Alamedan Jack Gutte, who was inspector at the Alameda Mole and unofficial photographer of the system.
