History of Object: Envelope addressed to Mrs. L.W.C. Tripp, 1270 Weber Street, Alameda, Calif. The return address states: W.F. Chipman, 625 Market, St., S.F. Mrs. Tripp and W.F. Chipman were the children of W.W. Chipman, co-founder of the city of Alameda. Mrs. Tripp was living in the home at 1270 Weber Street that her mother, Caroline Chipman Dwinelle, had built in 1883 and is now demolished.
