History of Object:
Documents found in City Hall attic during remodel in the 1990s. Folder contains 1937 "Report on Transportation Facilities” between Webster St. in Alameda and Seventh and Cypress Streets in Oakland. Includes sketch and map for a proposed Cypress Street Bridge. Also 1954 Key System Transit Lines reports and timetables; 1954 City Manager was Carl Froerer. Further has the Oakland Tribune of January 9, 1938, with a large Aerial photo reflecting proposed Naval expansion along both sides of the Estuary, and The Oakland Tribune of March 7, 1938, with an article about Alameda ferry service and mentioning an extra bridge, or tunnel.
