Description: Acid-free legal size manila file folder with papers, photos and blueprint map.
Size: L 14 3/4” X W 9”.
History of Object: Papers relating to the Parks and Recreation Department, 1915-1919, found in the attic of City Hall prior to renovations in the 1990s. Specifically:
A: Letter reflecting possible improvements on the concession stand in Lincoln Park by Carrie M. Palmer, 1919; B+C: Glossy photos, perhaps promotional material, of a dump truck. Photos are taken on a building material yard, likely not in Alameda, numbered 8164 and 8165, dated 11-8-17, and have been impressed with ‘Autocar Company’ (address unreadable). D. Blueprint of McKinley Park, 1915, possibly of the original garden lay-out including house; with superimposed markings for a waterline to faucets; E: letter from Barnes & Tibbits about removal of concrete blocks from Washington Park; F: Alameda Savings Bank about taking dirt removed from the Palm Beach property, and using it to level a property near Taylor and 4th street; G. Letter from Island City Tennis Club requesting a third tennis court at Washington Park.
