Includes a coverlet labeled 'Commemorating the Introduction of Long Distance Dialing' with signatures including those of Leslie Denning, Mayor of Englewood, Frank P. Osborn, Alameda, and of officials of the New Jersey Bell Telephone Company. Folder further includes a cover letter from the Bergen Chamber of Commerce / Historical Society, to Mayor Osborn, photos, news releases, and newsletters of the Bell Telephone Laboratories. Size folder: L 12" x W 9 1/2" History of Object: folder with documents commemorating the first direct dialed long distance call, a test which was performed by Mayor Denning of Englewood, New Jersey, from the office of New Jersey Bell Telephone Co., to Mayor Frank P.
