History: Document entitled "An Act to Incorporate the Town of Alameda" drawn by W.W. Chipman on January 29, 1854. The document is in Chipman's handwriting. Chipman was the co-founder of the City of Alameda. The document was donated by his late granddaughter, Carol Heche.
