History of Object:
Robert Lippert was a movie producer and entrepreneur who grew up in Alameda and came back to live here during his final years.
He took over the Bay Theatre, where he had been employed as a projectionist, when it closed in 1924, and ran it as the Lincoln Theatre until 1935, and reopened it in 1936 as Studio Theatre.
