History: Report by Charles H. Schwab, City Electrician, covering the early street lighting using the carbon arc system. System was inaugurated in 1886 and was situated on tall masts throughout the City. The maps giving location or site of these masts, gave date of installation and removal.
Object given to the Alameda Historical Museum prior to 1971 and never catalogued.
