Description:
Binder bound with brads with folded-over cover of blue faux-leather, with embossed gold-colored escutcheon of a tree, encircled with the legend ‘National Congress of Parents and Teachers, 1897’. Includes Publicity Record Declaration sheet stating Haight-Franklin, board and committee list, and newspaper clippings starting from April 1947. Last entries are from early 1948.
Also, includes clippings dating between 1949-1958 apparently related to Chester Bartilini, two 1958 letters to Mrs. Bartilini related to the ‘March of Dimes’ fundraising for the Alameda Chapter of the national foundation for infantile paralysis, a home-made paper purple heart with poem, and a typed 1945-1946 PTA directory in a handmade decorated grey cover.

Publicity Record binder of the Haight Franklin PTA for 1947-1948. Includes clippings. Apparently, the book was compiled or kept by Mrs C. R. Bartilini, PTA president at the time, who later added some clippings about her husband and ‘the Carpenters’ organization, and her other volunteer work for the March of Dimes.
