Object: Vase, bud
Description: Bud vase with bulbous base (of solid glass with amber rinse) which supports a conical vase of clear glass enameled in gold & silver with leaf and insect motif.
Size: 5½ inches high, 2 inches across vase opening, 1¼ inches across base.
History of Object: Vase was a gift to Hattie McDonell, (who later became a teacher at Bay Farm Island School, Wilson, Everett & Mastick Schools, and was a niece of P. A. McDonell, pioneer of Bay Farm Island) upon her graduation from Alameda High School, 1895, by Mrs. Amos Mecartney.
