Description: Two silver candle holders, on six-sided foot, bound by a ring, tapering out to a flat area with constriction on which the candle holder is with wide flange. Embossed gothic letter M. Marked on underside foot:
- impressed bell with six-sided shape behind, with on either side letter S in a shield. Under this, text 'SHREVE & Co / STERLING / SAN FRANCISCO'. Additional marks: 'BASE LOADED /
520'. One candle stick has scratched:'#4.793, this candle stick also has the catalog number. The other catalog stick has scratched #4.305.
Size: H. circa 10 inches.
History of Object: Candle Sticks originally belonging to the May or Meyers family.
