History of Object: Folders, found in the attic of City Hall, which pertain to petitions for construction projects:
A: (#242) 1929, 1930 letters and blueprint map, pertaining to two piers; one at the end of Harrison Street (later closed, see 11.53.30, 11.64.1A; 12.6.25), to allow oil products being pumped to the property of Standard Oil Co., and the other a letter from the clerk to City Manager Hickok to return a letter from the Improvement Club, suggesting the former bridge end of the Webster Street Bridge be turned into a public wharf.
B: (#250) petition to create a concrete stairway at the end of Sherman Street;
C: 1929 petition to create a clubhouse for boatmen at the Alameda Airport.
D: (#264) 1929 storage tanks for United States Refining company of Lost Angeles, on the NE corner of Oak Street and Blanding Ave.
E: (#266) 1930 construction of a storm water sewer on High Street from Santa Clara Ave to the Tidal Canal, includes bids. Documents suggest Initial notice didn't result in satisfactory bids.
F: (#256) 1931-1932 bulkhead construction and dredging by A.E.J. Duchesnay, south end of Regent Street, leaving debris.
