Description: Two-piece uniform consisting of blouse & shorts.
A. blouse: yellow cotton knit with wool felt emblem (front)K in circle, (back) J. J. Krieg. Brown lacing at neck. Label stating "Beachcomber by Pebble Beach”.
B. shorts: light brown (possibly originally gold?) denim like material, button front. Yellow stripe(applied) down both hips. Label stating "Marinas, Re. U.S. Pat. Off. Sports Wear," "Size 14."
History of Object:
First uniform (1938) of the Alameda Women's Worlds Champion Softball team. It was provided by J. J. Kreig, Park Street merchant (men's clothing store). This particular uniform belonged to Jessie Leslie, a member of the team.
