Description: Black canvas covered album (soft cover), with black paper pages. Paper label on cover hand printed "Album Photo's, A. P. Smiley". Inter has paper label, hand written in sepia ink "our hunting trip in Lake, Mendocino, Humboldt and Trinity Counties, 1905", and list of participants.
Size: 10½ x 7½ inches.
History of Object: Album of A. P. Smiley (Smiley & Gallagher Mortuary), 1905-06. The album contains photographs of a hunting trip with Judge Tappan, but most important of all are the scenes of the Elks refugee camp, Alameda, following the earthquake and fire of 1906.
