Appears to be German hard paste porcelain (unmarked), hand painted with red, black, & gold designs on a white background. History of Object: Childhood tea set that belonged to Bertha May. She married Henry H. Meyers in 1894 and came to reside in Alameda. Mr. Meyers was associated with the architectural firm of Percy & Hamilton, San Francisco (at the time of his marriage). The tea set was subsequently played with by Mrs. Meyers’ three daughters, Mildred, Jeanette, and Edith. Acquired from: Jeanette Meyers Date: 3-30-87
