No. 21.128.52 Subject Category: Citizens of Alameda Date or Period: c. 1930s Object: cigar cutter tool Description: A flat steel tool with alternating raised and low sections forming ribs, a loop at one end for attaching to a chain, a triangular gap on one side, a semi-circular indentation at the opposite side, and a circular hole in the center. The semi-circular indentation in the side enables pulling out of a swiveling knife blade, which enables accurate slicing off of objects inserted into the hole. Between the hole and the loop for hanging, is engraved: 'Super Knife Patented'. Size: (closed) L 2 1/2" x W 1".
