Description: Acid-free legal size manila folder with documents dated from 1918-1919, an envelope with content from 1924, plus a collection gathered in a metal clip from 1938, and health documents from 1953 and 1954.

History of Object: Miscellaneous unnumbered documents from City Hall, including:
- Documents regarding saving food scraps and selling it as garbage or swill collection for feeding of hogs in 1917-1918 as part of a war effort. The City had gone in a contract with the Pacific Hog Company of San Francisco. Separately, large businesses with a cafeteria (Bethlehem Shipbuilding) were instructed to set up their own programs.

- petition against moving of a church from Haight and Webster to Lincoln and Chapin. , 1918
- letter from Oakland Public Museum to hunt for rare birds in Alameda, 1918
