History of Object:
1939-1948 Record of the PTA Council-organized volunteer efforts to deliver Christmas Seals. Christmas Seals were stamp-like pictures that could be stuck to the back closure of the envelopes of Christmas cards, and which were sold at a low cost - the sale of these seals supported the Tuberculosis Association (predecessor of the American Lung Association). A few of each year's seals are glued to the appropriate pages.
