Object: Doll trunk
Description: Miniature camel-backed trunk, with natural wood stays on the lid and sides, held in place by metal straps. The exterior in covered hand-blocked paper. The interior is original tray. The entire inside is covered with the original wall paper. The colors of the exterior are light tan with darker tan geometric design, broken by lace-like black strips. It has a metal lock and a metal dust strip in black.
Size: 16" in length. 9½" in width. 11½" height.
History Of Object: This trunk was used for doll clothes by Mrs. Jennie Konigshofer Goldbaum about 1880. These are the families of the Konigshofer's that owned the dry good store in Alameda. Mrs. Goldbaum is the daughter.
