McDonell” (misspelled), and motif of resting sheep, trees, flowers, etc., accentuated with gold. Unmarked porcelain, signed on base "R. Samisch, 209 Sutter St., S.F." Size: H-4 inches, opening diameter-3 1/4 inches. History of Object: Shaving mug originally owned by John McDonell, uncle of the donor, who ran a butcher shop in the 1500 block of Park Street.
