Semi-nude male figure with wings, signed by artist Marie Cassavetti. Brass label applied to front portion of statue base states "L'Amour Irresistible, Par Mme Cassavetti (Beaux Arts-1896)". Size: wing tip to base, 36 inches, 10 inches across marble base. History of Object: Wedding gift to Herbert D. & Emma Adell Mitchell Clark, married August 30, 1900. Mr. Clark was a member of a family who settled in Alameda in 1878. Acquired from: Ms. Eleanor E. Clark Date: May 7, 1982 Note : Statue entitled "Love Irresistible", "by Marie Cassavetti".
