Description:
(A) A balloon-back gentleman's chair with an elaborate carved pressed rail. Its back terminates at two carved arms that are joined at the seat well.
Size: H-38 x W-27 x D-25 inches.
(B) A matching footstool, circular shaped, is supported by four legs that terminate with hoof-like carving.
Size: H-8 x D-14 inches.
Both pieces are upholstered in pink colored velvet trimmed with a silk gimp.
History of Object: A gentleman's chair and footstool that belonged to the Ryals family - longtime residents of Alameda.
