No markings on base. Size: H-8 inches, opening C-4 1/2 inches. History of Object: Sample vase - Clark & Sons, Pottery, Alameda. Made from glazed sewer pipe, supposedly given to visitors, etc., after touring pottery works. This particular vase belonged to Anna, wife of George Seider, 632 Pacific Avenue. The Seider family built their home, 632 Pacific Avenue, in 1889 and were long time residents of the city. Seider, cabinet maker by trade, was responsible for the construction of 632 Pacific Ave. Note: Anna Seider was the grandmother of the donor, Geo. Seider. Acquired from: George & Janice M.
