The certificate is matted with off-white colored paper in a dark stained wooden frame with a gold liner. Size: L-25 1/2 x W-28 inches. History of Object: A certificate awarded to James K. Hamilton Jr., M.D., by the School of Medicine at UC Berkeley. The Hamiltons were longtime residents of the City of Alameda, living at 1217 Weber St., and were neighbors of Carolyn Chipman Dwinelle, widow of the co-founder (W. W. Chipman) of Alameda.
