Size folder: L 14 3/4” X W 9” History of Object: Documents found in the attic of City Hall, prior to renovations. These documents were originally in a folder (discarded in 2011) with a green label on the tab stating: "Lagoon System 1956-58 South Shore Planning + Acceptance (Gotaas Report)”. Documents in this folder include: Report by Civil Engineer Calvin Jones, and Report (2 copies) of Report by Harold B. Gotaas of Jones’ report; Maps; Newspaper clippings (including one of a boy drowned in 1958); requests for docks (as soon as the lagoons were constructed) and concerns about those causing obstructions. Includes letter from Utah Construction stating they would absorb all costs. One letter suggests turning the shore of the lagoons into a nice walking path.
