Object: Parlor Set (2 pc.).
Description: A two-piece parlor set consisting of a settee and a gentleman's chair, both having wooden arms attached to the back frame:
(A) The settee is separated into two cushions secured by brass upholstery nails. Its back also includes open work with applied.carving. The upholstery appears to be early, possibly the original, in a multi-colored floral pattern tapestry. Its two front legs are of a pseudo-Louis XV style.
Size: D-22 x W-43 x H-37 1/2 inches.
(B) The gentleman's armchair has an open back with an ornately carved splat. Its front legs are tapered in a pseudo-Louis XV style. The upholstery consists of a multi-colored floral pattern with a black background.
