Size: L 11 3/4 x W 3 inches
History of Object: A license plate topper or ‘booster’. In the 1920s and 1930s adding a sign with your home town was a popular embellishment to the license plate on cars. As the license plates changed colors every year, and red and white was only used in 1927, this is likely the date of this plate. After use, this plate was used as a conversation piece in an interior of a home, and hung on a wall with a rope.
